Why should participants attend?
In the good old days, everybody did their own HSIs. The PT6 is built to be maintained in the field, and AMEs (A&Ps) were more comfortable with advanced mechanical procedures.
Over the years, that know-how has been lost to outsourcing. It's all fine and good until the service is no longer available on your timeline. Then it gets complicated and costly. Downtime, lessors, extra manipulation, and damage risks—that's not even touching on the costs.
This course offers to claim back your capacity to accomplish maintenance on your own terms.
Enable your team to execute advanced maintenance tasks without burdening your senior maintenance engineers with the training. Participants will practice on an unserviceable engine (yours or ours) so you don't develop their skills at the cost of damaged engines for you or your clients.
Skills participants develop through this course
At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
Find the relevant information in reference manuals
Disassemble and inspect PT6 Hot Section components and make sound decisions related to the state of those components.
Perform the appropriate repairs.
Reassemble and/or replace engine Hot Section components.
Paperwork and engine close-out.
